About the Role
Mitie are recruiting proactive, professional, and highly motivated Tactical Response Officers to support a specialist intelligence-led retail crime initiative within the Belvedere region. This role is focused on tackling prolific offenders, reducing violence and theft within stores, and supporting colleagues through a visible and professional security presence. Successful candidates will join a dedicated Tactical Response Team working closely with store management, crime analysts, operational leadership, and local policing partners. Officers will be deployed in both static and mobile response roles, operating across multiple locations based on intelligence-led tasking and emerging crime trends.
Main Duties
- Deliver industry-leading customer service at all times.
- Provide a highly visible security presence to deter theft, violence, and anti-social behaviour.
- Conduct regular patrols of stores and surrounding areas.
- Respond to incidents involving prolific offenders and organised retail crime.
- Support planned operations and reactive deployments as directed.
- Utilise CCTV systems to support the reduction of crime and stock loss.
- Wear and operate Body Worn CCTV to support evidence gathering and improve colleague and customer safety.
- Complete accurate incident reports and intelligence submissions using company systems, including Auror.
- Liaise effectively with store management teams to address crime and security concerns.
- Build positive working relationships with Police, crime partnerships, and external agencies to support crime reduction initiatives.
- Ensure all incidents are managed professionally, safely, and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding Licence.
- Previous retail security, response security, or mobile patrol experience is desirable.
- Strong communication and conflict management skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Excellent observational and report-writing skills.
- A proactive and intelligence-led approach to crime prevention.
- Full UK Driving Licence is preferred and essential for mobile response positions.
- Flexible approach to working hours and deployment locations.
