ROLE: Lead Fire Remedial Engineer LOCATION: Swindon, Dorchester, Reading, Basingstoke, Bristol, Oxford (Mobile)

We're looking for a Supervisor who will lead and support fire damper, fire stopping, and passive fire protection works across the region, ensuring full compliance, safety, and operational excellence.
- Role Responsibilities
- Carry out inspection and testing of fire dampers in accordance with BS 9999.
- Install access doors into ventilation systems in line with DW144/145.
- Install and repair passive fire stopping in accordance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
- Maintain personal tools, equipment, and materials.
- Produce written reports and maintain accurate compliance documentation.
- Lead the installation and repair of passive fire protection systems in line with FIRAS third-party certification.
- Install fire batts, sealants, collars, wraps, linear joint seals, fire boards, and penetration seals following tested system details (EI60 / EI120).
- Supervise operatives to ensure certified, compliant fire stopping works.
- Ensure material traceability and correct system use.
- Complete and review photographic evidence and installation documentation for audit purposes.
- Label and identify fire stopping works in line with certification schemes.
- Liaise with clients, site management, and compliance teams.
- Required Qualifications
- Experience in fire damper inspection and testing to BS 9999 standards.
- Knowledge of ventilation system management (TR19).
- Experience installing access doors (DW144/145).
- Competence in ductwork modifications for fire damper installation.
- Understanding of UK fire safety legislation and compartmentation principles.
- Experience working within FIRAS or similar certification schemes.
- Strong knowledge of the Fire Safety Order 2005 and Approved Document B.
- Desirable: Valid CSCS/CITB Card, NVQ Level in Fire Protection/Ductwork/Construction, IPAF/PASMA.
- Valid UK Driving Licence.
