The predicted salary is between 50000 - 65000 £ per year.
The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing and managing all aspects of hard service operations, ensuring the delivery of consistent, high-quality services across the contract. They will demonstrate the ability to identify opportunities for organic growth from both an operational and financial perspective. They will maintain effective internal and external client relationships, promote a proactive culture together with the co-ordination of environmental, health and safety and man-management policies and procedures within area of responsibility.
Main Duties
- Ensure any emergency planning is up to date, appropriately trained and robust when required.
- Lead, manage, and motivate the hard services teams, promoting a positive and proactive culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer focus.
- Oversee the management of all third-party contractors, ensuring they provide a high standard of service and adhere to agreed contractual obligations, KPIs, and SLAs.
- Responsible for overseeing the collation of supplier submitted SSoW return documentation and ensuring all data is entered in a central register.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety legislation and best practices, conducting regular audits and inspections and taking prompt action to rectify any identified issues.
- Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring resources are deployed efficiently and effectively to meet organisational objectives.
- Work closely with senior management and other stakeholders to identify and deliver improvements in service provision, driving best practice and maximising asset life.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, promptly addressing any concerns or issues that arise.
- Maintain awareness of industry trends, technological developments and compliance requirements to ensure the continuous improvement of hard services provision.
- Provide regular reports to senior management, demonstrating performance against key metrics and identifying opportunities for further improvement.
- Assist in developing and implementing an effective asset life management system from data gained from statutory and mandatory inspections and tests.
What we are looking for
- Proven experience in a hard services management role, preferably within the Facilities Management industry or a related sector.
- Relevant professional qualification in an electrical or mechanical discipline (e.g., HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of complex building services systems, including HVAC, electrical, and building fabric maintenance.
- Demonstrable experience in developing and implementing innovative, effective maintenance and asset management strategies.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire colleagues.
- Excellent knowledge of statutory compliance and current legislation, regulations and standards, with experience of managing a site's statutory compliance.
- Strong understanding of key UK Health and Safety legislation, including CDM Regulations and regulatory compliance.
- Outstanding analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficient in the use of CAFM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Proven financial and commercial acumen, with experience in managing budgets and delivering value-for-money services.
Position is site based - South Wales. Full time and Permanent role. Pre-Employment security checks will be required (DBS and BPSS).
