The Estates Compliance, Risk & Safety Officer is responsible for supporting the effective delivery, monitoring, and assurance of statutory compliance, risk management, and safety performance across the estate. The role provides experienced oversight of compliance activities, ensuring inspections, certification, and remedial actions are effectively tracked, validated, and reported. The postholder plays a key role in identifying compliance risks, challenging performance, and supporting audit readiness.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and monitor statutory compliance activities across the estate, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and contractual obligations.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and maintain compliance evidence packs for internal, client, and statutory audits.
  • Provide compliance guidance and support to supervisors, coordinators, and administrative colleagues.
  • Prepare summaries, trackers, and briefing notes for senior managers and client forums.
  • Support and participate in assurance inspections and compliance reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Strong compliance background within FM or a related environment.
  • Sound knowledge of legislation, compliance, and regulatory systems.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability and ability to influence operational teams whilst negotiating with persistent stakeholders.
  • Proven experience supervising contractors and service partners.
