We're looking for a Billable Works Manager to oversee the successful delivery of chargeable works across a diverse property portfolio, ensuring projects are delivered safely, compliantly, on time and within agreed governance frameworks.
This role offers the opportunity to work closely with clients, contractors and internal teams while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
- Role Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of billable works, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, governance requirements and operational standards.
- Manage project documentation, including reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), contractor competencies and compliance records.
- Maintain accurate billable works trackers, monitor progress and provide regular updates to clients and stakeholders.
- Identify, assess and mitigate risks while proactively seeking opportunities to improve service delivery and efficiency.
- Promote a positive safety culture by ensuring adherence to all health and safety policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
Strong experience managing multiple workstreams within facilities management, construction, building services or a related environment.
- Advanced IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications and CAFM systems.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working collaboratively across operational and client-facing teams.
- Analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a proactive approach to identifying improvements and enhancing processes.
- Required Qualifications
Applicants should ideally meet the following requirements
- Recognised technical qualification or relevant trade background within facilities management, construction, building services or a related discipline.
- Quantity Surveying qualification or demonstrable commercial experience in the management, valuation or cost control of works.
- Knowledge of CDM Regulations and a good understanding of mechanical, electrical, fabric and associated building systems.
