The Building Management Administrator and Key Cutter role at HMS Collingwood, Fareham, offers an opportunity to join an experienced and versatile team delivering first‑class access control services to Armed Forces personnel, predominantly the Royal Navy. This position provides a broad and flexible service supporting building management and key cutting operations, with training available where appropriate.
Responsibilities
- Conduct building management checks on designated buildings
- Assist with defect rectification requests
- Cut keys accurately and efficiently while maintaining equipment and stock levels
- Control and issue establishment and vehicle passes, accountable keys, and safe combination changes
- Maintain accurate documentation and databases
- Provide cover for building access control staff when required
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety and GDPR regulations
- Undertake additional duties as directed by the Line Manager
Qualifications
- Organised, professional, adaptable, and able to communicate confidently at all levels
- Strong integrity and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Administration experience
- Customer service skills
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Good IT literacy, particularly in MS Office applications
- Knowledge of MOD systems desirable
- Ability to manage changing priorities and tight deadlines
- MOD security clearance, a DBS Standard check, and proof of the right to work in the UK
Working Hours
Operating on a 37.5‑hour working week between 07:30 and 17:00, Monday to Friday. Approved company workwear must be worn.
