FAFS Fire & Security specialise in designing, installing, commissioning and servicing automatic Fire Detection, Protection and Alarm Systems in and around Greater London. We are currently looking to appoint a new Mechanical Sprinkler Service Engineer specifically covering the London region.

FAFS Fire & Security's Mechanical Sprinkler Service Engineers carry out servicing and remedial works of Sprinkler Systems, Fire Hydrants, Fire Hose Reels, Dry/Wet Risers in accordance with the latest British and EN standards on small and large projects across the UK, ensuring all works are to a high standard within Health & Safety and Quality company requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake Mechanical Servicing and Remedial works of Fire Hydrants, Fire Hose Reels, Fire Risers and Sprinkler Systems.
  • Forward planning regarding the parts requirements on installation works, placing parts orders, liaising with site management and coordinating with other trades.
  • Work independently and as part of the wider Sprinkler Department on installation and service works.
  • Provide information to quote to upgrade or modify these systems in relation to manufacturers and industry guidelines and then discuss these requirements with new and existing customers.
  • The company will provide initial training for these elements of your role and continued ongoing support.
  • Receive field support and training for all disciplines you undertake.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years experience in a Sprinkler Engineer position or Mechanical pipe installation.
  • Extensive knowledge of both commercial and residential sprinkler systems, ability to carry system change overs and be competent with fire alarms and all kinds of commercial sprinkler systems.
  • Practical working knowledge of BS9251.
  • Demonstrable technical experience with good interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in the field independently.
  • Flexible to work across single and multiple site locations.
  • Full Driving Licence.
