As our Senior Commissioning Engineer within our Strategic Accounts department, you will be responsible for taking full technical ownership of the planning, coordination and on-site delivery of commissioning activities for large-scale integrated electronic security systems within data centre and mission-critical environments.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Leading the commissioning strategy, sequencing and delivery of complex, multi-system security projects
- Acting as the senior technical authority on site during commissioning, testing and handover
- Commissioning integrated CCTV, Access Control, PSIM and intrusion systems, including IP-based and networked solutions
- Producing and managing commissioning plans, documentation, integrated testing programs and handover packs
- Coordinating with Project Managers, IT stakeholders, clients’ teams and third-party contractors
- Verifying system resilience, redundancy, fail-safe operation and compliance with design intent
- Providing technical leadership and oversight to Installation and Commissioning Engineers
- Leading issue resolution during commissioning and ensuring formal sign-off and acceptance

Person Specification
- Proven experience as a Senior or Lead Commissioning Engineer delivering enterprise-level security systems
- Demonstrable experience working in data centre or mission-critical environments
- Strong technical knowledge of:
- Enterprise access control platforms (Lenel, C-CURE, Gallagher, AMAG)
- IP CCTV and VMS platforms (Genetec, Milestone)
- IP networking, servers, system integration and redundancy
- Previous experience planning and leading large, complex commissioning phases
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Methodical, documentation-driven approach suitable for regulated environments
- Full UK driving licence and prepared to travel
- Ability to obtain data centre security clearance
- Relevant electrical, electronic or security engineering qualification
- Manufacturer certifications for enterprise security platforms

Working Conditions
The physical environment requires the employee to at site locations around the UK and may involve travel to Europe from time to time. Construction site locations will involve both inside and outside working environments and the employee will be required to use personal protective equipment. The employee may/will be required to work late into the evening, nights, weekends and on public holidays and may be required to spend time away in order to fulfil the job role.
