We are looking for a highly capable and pragmatic Senior Analyst to operate as part of a hub-and-spoke analytics model, embedded within a contract team while remaining closely aligned to the central Advanced Analytics function. This role is critical in bridging the gap between business need and technical delivery. You will work directly with operational and commercial stakeholders to identify opportunities, shape analytical solutions, and deliver end-to-end products that drive tangible business outcomes.

You will be expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy owning the full lifecycle from problem identification through to solution deployment leveraging the Microsoft technology stack, with a particular focus on Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Python, SQL, and Power Automate. Success in this role requires the ability to navigate ambiguity and have confidence working with non-technical stakeholders to define what is both possible and valuable.

This role offers the opportunity to sit at the heart of a contract, directly influencing performance through analytics, while remaining part of a broader, high‑performing Advanced Analytics function. You will play a key role in scaling analytics capability across the business, driving practical innovation, and ensuring data is used effectively to support operational and commercial decisions.

The Opportunity

  • Develop informative Power BI dashboards that deliver the highest quality data and insight to drive better decision‑making
  • Drive thought leadership around data visualisation and storytelling
  • Deliver efficiency through design and adoption of standard
  • Work closely with the Data and AI CoE to optimise data structures and provide advanced analytics solutions
  • Manage and optimise processes for data modelling, visualisation, and all other team deliverables
  • Drive a continuous improvement approach delivering more advanced insights based on statistical inference and machine learning techniques
  • Develop bespoke reporting and automated KPIs for the client
  • Optimise data driven solutions, automate business processes and enhance system integrations

What We're Looking For

Technical Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience across the Microsoft analytics stack, including:
    • Microsoft Fabric (preferred or strong willingness to adopt)
    • Power BI (including Power Query and DAX)
    • SQL for data extraction and transformation
    • Python for data analysis, modelling, and automation
    • Power Automate and understanding of workflow automation
  • Understanding of how the Microsoft ecosystem integrates end‑to‑end to deliver scalable analytics solutions
  • Proven experience delivering end‑to‑end analytics solutions, not just isolated reporting outputs
  • Strong data modelling, data preparation, statistical analysis, and visualisation capabilities
  • Experience utilising AI to support analytics solution development and knowledge of statistical methods

Business & Stakeholder Skills

  • Excellent ability to engage with non‑technical stakeholders and clearly translate business problems into technical requirements
  • Ability to translate technical outputs back into clear, actionable business insights
  • Comfortable working within a contract or operational environment, supporting day‑to‑day business needs
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to challenge, influence, and shape demand
  • Able to work independently and prioritise effectively in a fast‑paced environment

Personal Attributes

  • Highly pragmatic – focused on delivering value and outcomes, not perfection
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and shaping loosely defined problems into structured solutions
  • Strong problem‑solving mindset with a proactive, hands‑on approach
