FAFS Fire & Security specialise in designing, installing, commissioning and servicing automatic Fire Detection, Protection and Alarm Systems in and around Greater London. We are currently looking to appoint a new Security Service Engineer, specifically covering the London region.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, commission and maintain electronic security systems including CCTV, access control, intruder alarms and video entry.
- Perform routine maintenance, reactive maintenance and system health checks to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
- Diagnose and repair faults in security systems, minimizing system downtime and maintaining client security.
- Respond to service calls and emergency breakdowns promptly, providing effective on-site support.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients regarding system operation and functionality.
- Keep accurate records of service visits, maintenance reports, and fault resolutions.
- Collaborate with project managers, technicians, and subcontractors to ensure timely project delivery.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant legislation, industry codes of practice, and company procedures.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and security solutions through continuous learning.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in a clean, safe, and serviceable condition.
- Adhere to health and safety policies and promote a safe working environment at all times.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a like-for-like or similar role.
- Has a comprehensive understanding of the causes and cures of security system problems, including an ability to recommend changes to practices and processes that may cause false alarms as well as changes to the Security detection systems.
- Basic Electrical Safety training (ECA).
