To support and deliver Tasks / Projects on the Sellafield site Cumbria, manage and lead Task / Projects execution on Sellafield site, liaising with the Client, Stakeholders, Subcontractors and other trades, co-ordinating all aspects of the works so that they are delivered in line with the scoped requirements, Construction Design Management (CDM), Sellafield Site Procedures (SLSPs) and within budget / time allowances.
Responsible for managing the work of consultants, allocating and utilising resources in an efficient manner and maintaining a co-operative, motivated and successful team. Have a commercial understanding, advising and implementing cost savings at all times through Value for Money initiatives. Have a knowledge of safety as well as Construction Design Management (CDM), in order to ensure the safety of all people involved in Task / Project delivery as well as people who are impacted by the works at all times. Ensure that preventative measures are identified and followed, including personal protective equipment is used, local rules and all aspects of the health and safety proposal for the nuclear licensed site are adhered to. Represent the company in a professional and proactive manner in all dealings with those associated with, and affected by the Task / Project.
Main Duties
- Develop, in conjunction with the Client, the scope of the Task / Project where required.
- Ensure that the Task / Project is delivered on time, to budget and to the required quality grading.
- Ensure the Task / Project is adequately resourced and manage Client / Stakeholder relationships throughout delivery.
- Assess Risk analysis in delivery.
- Communicate effectively at all times with the Client, Stakeholders, System Engineers, Subcontractors and all persons affected by the Task / Project.
- Liaise daily with the Project Lead.
- Liaise daily with internal Commercial team to manage Project finances.
- Attend and take notes of any meetings relevant to the Task / Project, either on / off site.
- Develop & maintain working programme & schedules.
- Manage Task / Project deliverables in line with the schedule.
- Record and manage Task / Project issues and escalate where necessary.
- React to and resolve issues at Task / Project level where possible and prior to escalation.
- Manage Task / Project scope and change control.
- Monitor & Report Task / Project progress and performance.
- Review Task / Project costs with the Commercial team in order to establish financial performance.
- Have knowledge and understanding of the CDM regulations.
- Attend Sellafield Site daily with some hybrid working available.
