Technology: body worn camera, incident reporting device
Responsibilities:
- Protect the Waitrose store, its people, and assets by providing security and excellent customer service
- Ensure compliance with policies, UK law, and guidance
- Engage with National Operations Centre (NOC) and Mitie management, and use technology such as body cameras and mobile devices to report incidents
- Complete all tasks and duties on site as defined within published Assignment Instructions (AI's)
- Review AI's and suggest improvements to enhance service level
- Maintain front-line licence and other required courses, wearing at all times while on duty
- Work systematically, methodically, and orderly
- Look out for and immediately report any health & safety hazards or potential threats
- Respond appropriately to threats or changes within the work environment to reduce chance of disruption, loss or damage
- Maintain professional conduct in challenging situations and with difficult customers
- Make accurate, detailed notebook entries after incidents as part of Incident Report process
- Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and Waitrose
- Ensure check calls are performed at scheduled times per AI's
- Call emergency services and Communication Centre to report all incidents
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous security experience
- SIA License
- Excellent communication skills at all levels
- Energy and enthusiasm
- Strong customer service focus (e.g., training in MAYBO management)
Training & Development:
- Full and extensive training provided, including MAYBO and key focus on customer service
- Complete all required competency training and ongoing professional development as directed by Security Account Manager
- Use technology to achieve key work objectives and improve job knowledge
- Renew licence 16 weeks before expiry
