Responsibilities
- Carry out legionella risk assessments manually and electronically.
- Ensure that risk assessment paperwork and reports are completed correctly and returned.
- Perform other operational work as required to meet contractual commitments.
- Undertake assessments in accordance with:
- Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) L8 (Fourth edition)
- Technical guidance documents of HSG274
- British Standard code of practice for risk assessing BS8580-1 2019
- Health Technical Memorandum 04-01: SafeWater in Healthcare Premises
Requirements
- A qualification in a City and Guilds Risk Assessing course (or equivalent).
- Experience in legionella risk assessing.
- Wide knowledge of the above risk assessment guidelines.
- Sufficient experience working in the water treatment industry.
- A strong knowledge of health and safety.
- Commercial awareness and good planning skills.
- Strong IT literacy and ability to use a PDA to evidence compliance and productivity.
- Ability to draw schematic diagrams.
- A full UK driver’s licence with less than 6 points.
- Capability to work as part of a team and under own supervision.
