Store Detective Location - Northampton & Surrounding Areas Salary - £33,000Total weekly hours 50Shift Pattern - Week 1 Monday-Friday and Week 2 Tuesday - Saturday, As a Store Detective, you will operate across our client's network of stores in and around Leicester and surrounding areas, using your observation skills to help prevent theft of stock.

The Detective team plays a crucial role in the identification, apprehension and prosecution of criminals who target our client.

  • WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
  • Observe, deter and arrest those taking part in criminal activity.
  • Issue civil recovery where applicable.
  • Liaise with police forces and other crime prevention partners to keep up to date with crime trends.
  • Build a local network to identify and disrupt crime.
  • Report incidents accurately and in a timely fashion.
  • Occasionally attend court to provide evidence.
  • Valid SIA licence.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle.
  • Highly adaptable, with the ability to work confidently across regional stores.
  • Calm under pressure and able to react quickly in challenging situations.
  • Customer-facing experience with a strong customer service background.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, preferably with GCSE or equivalent in English.
  • Proactive, forward-thinking and keen to improve working practices.
  • Self-motivated, positive and able to demonstrate a genuine can-do attitude.
  • Strong observational skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations and make quick decisions.
  • Confidence to challenge people when necessary.
  • Ability to use modern surveillance systems such as CCTV.
