About the Role

We are seeking a professional, reliable, and motivated Security Officer to join our team at the TK Maxx Distribution Centre in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

This is a single-operator gatehouse position within a busy and fast-paced distribution environment. The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently, making informed decisions, and maintaining high standards of customer service and site security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing vehicle access and egress, including deliveries and collections.
  • Operating the gatehouse and maintaining site security procedures at all times.
  • Booking vehicles in and out of the distribution centre.
  • Completing incident reports and maintaining accurate records.
  • Conducting security checks and patrols as required.
  • Liaising professionally with site management, drivers, contractors, and visitors.
  • Responding appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and security concerns.
  • Ensuring compliance with site policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements.
What We're Looking For Essential Requirements
  • Valid SIA Security Guarding or Door Supervisor Licence.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong IT skills and confidence using computer-based systems.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, and other spreadsheet or reporting software.
  • Ability to work independently and make effective decisions.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when completing records and reports.
  • Ability to remain professional and organised within a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable, punctual, and flexible approach to work.

  • Previous gatehouse, logistics, or distribution centre security experience.
