We're looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the delivery of engineering and estates services within a healthcare environment, ensuring safe, compliant and high-performing operations. In this role, you'll oversee maintenance, lifecycle planning and engineering compliance across the estate, working closely with both Mitie teams and NHS stakeholders to minimise disruption to critical clinical services.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage engineering maintenance and estates services, ensuring compliance with PFI contracts, HTMs/HBNs and statutory regulations.
  • Oversee risk management, minimise service failures, and ensure continuity of critical clinical operations.
  • Develop and deliver PPM and lifecycle strategies to improve asset performance and reduce disruption.
  • Act as Authorised Person (AP) and ensure safe systems of work are consistently followed.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, Trust stakeholders, and external partners to drive service excellence.

Required Qualifications

  • Recognised qualification in Engineering or Facilities Management (e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH, IWFM).
  • Significant experience in a technical leadership role within facilities management, ideally in healthcare.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks, engineering standards, and safe systems of work.
