HOURS: 37.5 hours per week (Shift Pattern: 7:00am to 3:00pm and 12:00pm to 8:00pm on a rotational basis)

We're looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician who will support the delivery of planned and reactive mechanical maintenance services across the Royal Victoria Infirmary and Freeman Hospital sites, ensuring all plant and equipment remain safe, compliant and fully operational.
Role Responsibilities:
- Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities in line with contractual requirements and maintenance schedules.
- Maintain mechanical plant and equipment in accordance with O&M manuals, legislation, industry standards and best practice.
- Respond to reactive maintenance tasks within agreed service levels, completing all associated reports and documentation accurately.
- Assist with the supervision of subcontractors, ensuring compliance with safe systems of work, policies and procedures.
- Ensure all plant rooms and service areas are maintained in a clean, safe, secure and organised condition.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in mechanical and/or multi-skilled building services maintenance, including DHW, LTHW and ventilation systems.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation with the ability to work safely under own initiative and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication, customer service and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to delivering high-quality service standards.
- Ability to pass a DBS check prior to commencement of employment.
- General building maintenance or fabric maintenance experience is desirable.
- 18th Edition and/or City & Guilds 2391 qualifications are desirable.
- Commitment to personal development and expanding competency across building services disciplines.
