This is a field based, UK wide role, so it is imperative that you are happy to travel /work away from home and hold a clean drivers licence.
Essential Competencies
- A proven background in Gate Automation Installation, Service or Maintenance role is essential.
- Mechanical and Electrical/Electronic Fault Finding.
- Competency in problem solving and an ability to make diligent recommendations.
- Demonstration to Clients and End Users of completed systems or individual work(s).
- Completion of Asset Tagging and Registration of Information.
- Completion of precise Engineering Reports.
- Ordering of components and equipment where required.
- Able to work both individually and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel and work away from home.
- Willing to participate in an out of hours call out Rota.
Role & Responsibilities
- As a DHF Automated Gate Group Member RHI-Industrials Automated Systems Technicians will be expected to achieve the DHF Safety Assured Diploma (2 Day Exam Course) Providing Competency in establishing and surveying Automated Gate Systems for BS EN 12453:2017 and DHF TS-013 Compliance, with the ability to prepare Risk and Safety Function Assessments.
- Training will be provided, where required, in Force Testing which will form a segment of the overall competency to support the DHF Safety Diploma.
Force Testing requires the use of Software and a Laptop and so candidates must be PC and IT literate.
- Managing day to day site work / activities / RHI site staff.
- Purchasing requirements for own RHI Projects.
- Always ensuring a good standard of Quality and Efficiency
- Reporting defects, snags, and complaints to Automated Systems Manager
- Reporting Health & safety defects / incidents / accidents and near miss situations to the Automated Systems Manager / Health & Safety Director
- Ensuring image and name associated with RHI Industrials are always upheld.
- Liaising with Client's representatives (as required)
- For ensuring that company management systems and processes are adhered to.
- Ensure that all works are installed and executed in accordance with the works specification.
- Ensuring that all Risk Assessments and Method Statements are adhered to.
- For promoting good practice of material sustainability (Reuse and/or recycle) initiatives to reduce waste and save costs.
