ROLE: Multi Skilled Technician – 40 hours per week, Mildenhall. At Mitie, we support world‑class Armed Forces personnel by maintaining and operating new and existing buildings, primarily through reactive maintenance and occasional planned preventive tasks.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to reactive repairs, making safe and isolating issues where necessary.
- Carry out a range of building fabric tasks, including carpentry, painting and decorating, glazing repairs, and general maintenance works.
- Perform minor plumbing tasks and support additional maintenance activities where required.
- Maintain accurate records of all assigned work and update job reports within one hour of attendance.
- Provide excellent customer service, keeping building occupants informed and liaising effectively with clients and team members.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in building maintenance, with strong carpentry and painting/decorating skills and basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical work.
- Relevant trade qualification or equivalent experience (e.g. City & Guilds or NVQ).
- Strong organisational, communication and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
- Health and Safety awareness (e.g. CSCS, IOSH) and experience in facilities maintenance environments are desirable.
