We're looking for a Head of Commercial - Corporate Accounts to join a highly successful and growing business, leading the commercial function across a portfolio of key corporate accounts.

This is an opportunity to become a trusted advisor to senior operational leaders, helping to maximise profitability, identify opportunities, manage risk and ensure contractual excellence across complex client environments.

While you'll work closely with operational and business stakeholders, your focus will be on commercial management, contract governance, risk mitigation, pricing strategies, client contract performance and protecting long-term value within existing accounts.

The Role

As Head of Commercial, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting account teams throughout the entire contract lifecycle.

From mobilisation and contract change management through to pricing reviews, dispute resolution and strategic commercial planning, you'll help ensure contracts deliver the best possible outcomes for both the business and its clients.

You'll partner with operational, finance and leadership teams to identify commercial opportunities, improve profitability, strengthen governance and provide expert guidance on contractual obligations, performance mechanisms and commercial risk.

This is a highly visible role with significant influence across the organisation, suited to someone who enjoys combining strategic thinking with hands-on commercial leadership.

  • Lead the commercial management of a portfolio of corporate accounts, ensuring contractual compliance and commercial best practice.
  • Support account directors and managers throughout the contract lifecycle, including contract variations, obligations, notices and governance processes.
  • Drive commercial performance by identifying opportunities to improve margin, reduce risk and enhance account profitability.
  • Support mobilisation and re-mobilisation activities across key accounts.
  • Lead or support the resolution of contractual disputes, claims and commercial challenges.
  • Provide insightful reporting to senior leadership on risks, opportunities and commercial performance.
  • Develop strong relationships with operational leaders and senior client stakeholders, acting as a trusted commercial partner.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and wider strategic commercial projects across the business.

About You

We're looking for a commercially driven professional who combines strong technical expertise with excellent stakeholder management skills.

You will likely have significant experience in commercial management, contract governance and be comfortable operating at a senior level within a complex, contract-led business.

Facilities Management experience would be highly desirable, however we are equally interested in individuals who have developed their expertise within outsourced services or other contract driven sectors.

You'll also bring

  • A proven track record of improving commercial performance and profitability.
  • Strong knowledge of contract management, commercial models and contractual risk.
  • Experience working with payment mechanisms, SLAs, KPIs and performance-based contracts.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • The ability to build credibility with senior stakeholders and clients.
  • A calm, pragmatic and solutions-focused approach.
  • A professional qualification such as MRICS would be advantageous.
