Overview

Job Title: Mobile Security Supervisor
Contract: Permanent
Type of Employment: Full Time
Hours: 42 hours per week
Shift: 4 on 4 off
Location: South Coast
Clean UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

  • Support the business by ensuring the effective delivery of security operations across multiple sites.
  • Conduct regular mobile patrols at designated sites, respond promptly to incidents and ensure they are logged and accurately documented.
  • Maintain a visible presence to deter potential threats, address security risks and suspicious activity, and respect cultural and religious practices in all actions.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, legal and regulatory requirements as directed by the Account lead and in accordance with UK law and guidance bodies (SIA).
  • Fully and satisfactorily complete all tasks and duties as defined by role specifications.
  • Comply with legal obligations and safety requirements of the role.
  • Induct and train staff; ensure site officers are trained, compliant, and that knowledge and abilities are tested.
  • Ensure patrols are carried out as stipulated; complete site visits as required.
  • Support sites with investigations and reports; escalate incidents/issues as required.
  • Conduct site compliance audits and complete daily logs, reports, and vehicle inspections.
  • Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times; stay alert to threats or changes to reduce disruption, loss or damage.
  • Maintain professional conduct in difficult situations and complete accurate, detailed reports promptly after any incident.
  • Ensure check calls are carried out at the allocated time slot as stipulated in the Assignment Instructions (AIs).

Qualifications

  • A full driving licence (vehicle provided).
  • Strong experience within the security industry.
  • SIA license (Front line SG/DS/CP, CCTV desirable).
  • EDBS required or the ability to obtain EDBS (this is a requirement for the position).
  • Good literacy and communication skills; excellent verbal and written English.
  • Computer and software literacy; good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Good report writing skills; ability to learn various Mitie systems and apply that knowledge.
  • Reliability, self-motivation, and ability to work without supervision; ability to solve problems, make decisions, and prioritise.
  • Ability to transfer self-motivation to staff; tact and diplomacy to deal with people at all levels.
  • Self-confidence and an interest in self-development; commitment to continuous improvement of the Company\'s performance.
  • Excellent attendance and timekeeping.
  • Flexibility to travel outside of designated area on an ad hoc basis as required by the business.
