We’re looking for a Painter & Decorator to support world-class Armed Forces personnel by maintaining and operating new and existing buildings, primarily through reactive maintenance and occasional planned preventative tasks.
Role Responsibilities
- Carry out painting and decorating; however, will also be required to complete a range of building fabric tasks, including carpentry and general maintenance works.
- Respond promptly to reactive repairs, making safe and isolating issues where necessary.
- Perform minor plumbing tasks and support additional maintenance activities where required.
- Maintain accurate records of all assigned work and update job reports within one hour of attendance.
- Provide excellent customer service, keeping building occupants informed and liaising effectively with clients and team members.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in painting/decorating as well as building maintenance, carpentry skills and basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical work.
- Relevant trade qualification or equivalent experience (e.g. City & Guilds or NVQ).
- Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
- Health and Safety awareness (e.g. CSCS, IOSH) and experience in facilities maintenance environments are desirable.
