Responsibilities:
- Manage and organise all site-based operatives, overseeing all aspects of their work and ensuring they are undertaken within current codes of practice and to the high standards expected by the contract.
- Oversee operatives and their work, carry out safety inductions, toolbox talks, control quality of work, and ensure method statements and risk assessments are completed.
- Take ownership of overseeing project progress, milestones, and schedules, ensuring a high standard of work and effective communication of progress with clients, sub-contractors, and other relevant parties involved.
- Ensure all materials used (including those by sub-contractors) are compliant with technical and quality specifications, kept clean and tidy, and manage resources to reduce cost.
- Maintain the upkeep of the plant and facilities while maintaining accurate records of all work carried out.
- Be part of the callout rota for 1st escalation and have a flexible approach.
- Ability to drive projects forwards with a strong standard of work, overcoming barriers and solving problems efficiently and effectively.
- Assist with building shutdown planning, PPM delivery, reactive tasks, and client relationship building.
- Maintain excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and plan effectively.
- Demonstrate outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and possess strong leadership, responsibility, punctuality, and reliability.
Qualifications:
- H&S, IOSH / NEBOSH
- Hold or obtain a SMSTS Certificate
- CDM Regulations
- Substantial experience of the full life cycle of several projects
- Mechanical systems and infrastructure (essential)
- Supervision of the project and staff/operatives working on it
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety policies and legislation
