Role and Responsibilities
To assist the small Marina team in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the marina whilst positively contributing to the Guest experience, whilst maximising revenue opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Assist with berthing of visiting boats to ensure efficient berth utilisation to maximise revenue and Guest experience
- Making marina bookings via the various booking channels i.e. phone, email and social media
- Ensure payments are taken and captured within the Marina systems.
- Maintain the required operational standards in line with the Company policies and guidelines.
- Positive interaction with Guests through various channels – VHF radio, face to face, telephone, email and social media.
- To undertake all other reasonable request from Management as required.
Qualifications and education requirements
- Educated to GCE level or equivalent
- Able to Swim
- Ideally VHF Radio SRC certified, but not essential as training will be provided
Preferred skills
- Confident communicator, with excellent telephone manner and good written English
- Proficient in MS Office
- Good problem-solving skills
- Flexible and willing to adjust to needs of the business
- An interest in boats with line handling skills
- Able to work solo
