Based in Manchester - Laptop and phone provided. Administration Support M&S - 40hrs per week, Monday - Friday - Reporting to the Security Account Manager. 20% M&S colleague discount, numerous Mitie benefits including Save As You Earn, Share Incentive Plan, Cycle to Work, Life Assurance and Childcare Vouchers.

Job objectives and responsibilities:

  • Effectively support and assist the Ops Manager in managing the performance of a designated region, ensuring that all contracted and temporary hours are fulfilled by trained officers to the complete satisfaction of those stores/clients.
  • Support Ops Managers with the operational performance of the allocated business in relation to overall targets set, ensuring compliance with key SLA's/KPI's.
  • Maintain and promote the Mitie brand and reputation by providing an industry leading security provision.
  • Maximize the efficiency of the deployment of officers utilizing systems and technology to deliver intelligence led services based upon risk and data analysis.
  • Contribute to the success of the M&S contract through effective training and continuous on-going colleague coaching.
  • Support the customer and be responsible for the timely completion of crime related reporting and any other crime related tasks/activities.

Main duties:

  • Ensure all weekly SPO hours are rostered in advance with trained M&S/Mitie colleagues.
  • Follow agency request process when needed to maintain coverage and service levels.
  • Maintain SIA license records, completing application process when needed.
  • Manage Holiday tracker, approving requests in line with company policy.
  • Support M&S and Mitie WSHS/QHSE initiatives and compliance with policy and legislation.
  • Assist the ops manager in completing QHSE investigations within the agreed SLA.
  • Maintain records of Assignment instructions and Risk Assessments for each site in line with Mitie policy.
  • Manage the recruitment process from advertising vacancies, processing candidates to ensure screening is completed in a timely manner.
  • Order uniform and ID cards for all new starters, reissuing both when needed.
  • Assist the investigation manager with note taking when required.
  • Take active steps to maintain communication; recognize achievement and develop the Mitie Community.
  • Ensuring all Mitie obligations relating to officer welfare, health and safety and duty of care are observed always.
  • Ensuring adequate advice and support is provided to make the Store Protection Officer team successful.
  • Ensure all officers in the Store portfolio fully understand and comply with all aspects of Mitie Policy and relevant legal and regulatory requirements, including changes to policies or procedures and can demonstrate appropriate levels of control.
