We're looking for a Static Water Technician to support water hygiene compliance and maintenance activities at University College Hospital. Mitie is an accredited Real Living Wage Employer, ensuring all roles are paid at or above the independently calculated Real Living Wage.
Role Responsibilities
- Complete a range of Legionella maintenance PPMs, remedial cleaning, sampling, chemical testing, and minor plumbing works.
- Carry out routine monitoring tasks in line with the Approved Code of Practice (ACoP) L8.
- Maintain customer water logbooks and complete all required documentation in accordance with current guidelines and company policy.
- Perform water system cleans and disinfections in line with ACoP L8 and Mitie procedures.
- Test, service, and maintain thermostatic mixing valves (TMVs), along with supporting basic plumbing tasks where required.
- Carry out cleaning and disinfection of cooling towers and process water systems.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in Compliance Servicing, Legionella Monitoring, or Water Treatment.
- Applicants with limited or no direct experience are welcome, provided they have relevant transferable experience.
- Advanced knowledge and experience of maintaining water systems is desirable.
