Overview

Mitie has a great opportunity for a Security Operations Manager to join the Total Security Management Team.

The Security Operations Manager is responsible for their identified area, ensuring that it meets or exceeds budget and service delivery requirements by ensuring all officers in the store portfolio fully understand and comply with all Mitie policies.

You will use effective coaching and performance management skills to deliver an industry-leading retail security team for our client.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage the performance of a designated region, building, leading, retaining and supporting the development of a team of security officers that demonstrate Mitie’s commitment to service.
  • Maintain and review Assignment Instructions and Risk Assessments.
  • Ensure vacancies are advertised with appropriate agencies and maintain the establishment to deliver the coverage KPI specified by the customer through recruitment and succession planning.
  • Provide adequate training, advice and support to the Officer team, including knowledge and use of key systems, tools, and awareness of policies.
  • Undertake regular appraisals; provide open feedback on progress and career development; apply sanctions for underperformance where appropriate.

  • Frontline Door Supervision or Security Guarding Licence essential; CCTV Licence would be beneficial
  • Expected to hold Level 3 apprenticeship in management development and working towards Level 5
  • Full UK Driving licence is required
