- As a Core team support officer, you will be responsible for safeguarding our client's premises, assets, and personnel.
- You will play a key role maintaining a secure environment and deterring potential threats.
- Working Monday - Sunday
- You will be required to work, Days, Nights, Weekends & Bank holidays.
Main Duties
- Cover Front of House & Reception Duties as per the Schedule.
- Conduct regular building patrols both external and internal of the premises to ensure security.
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents.
- Maintain a visible and professional presence.
- Enforce site Policies and Procedures, Assignment Instructions and KOD`s.
- Write detailed incident reports.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies where necessary.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors.
- Assist with emergency response and evacuation procedures.
Training
- Fully and satisfactorily complete all required competency training.
- To undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development as directed by the Security Compliance Manager.
- Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop job knowledge and expertise through continual professional development.
- You are required to ensure you renew your licence 16 weeks before expiry.
Protection and Health & Safety
- Look out for, and to immediately report, any Health & Safety hazards, or potential hazards, on site.
- Stay alert to any threats or changes within the work environment to take the appropriate action to reduce the chance of disruption, loss, or damage.
- Use common sense and initiative by immediately involving others if a situation becomes threatening.
- To maintain professional conduct in the face of demanding situations and challenging customers.
- Complete an accurate, detailed notebook entry as soon as possible after any incident, which should be used as part of the Incident Report process.
- Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the Client.
- To ensure check calls are conducted at the allocated time slot as stipulated in the Assignment Instructions (AI's).
- To call emergency services and Regional Operations Centre to report all incidents.
What we are looking for
- Proven experience as a Security Officer on Cooperate sites.
- Proven experience in Emergency response role.
- Valid Security Licence (DS).
- CCTV Licence holders preferred.
- Valid First Aid Certificate (EFAW or FAW).
- Strong Observational Skills and Security Situational Awareness.
- Excellent Communication Skills.
- Physically fit and capable of standing and walking for extend periods.
- Basic Computer Skills.
- Social Media/ DBS Check.
