Location: Liverpool, Bidston Moss, Aintree, Prescot, Cables, Cheshire Oaks, Widnes, Chester & surrounding areas. All travel paid for – public transport and/or car mileage.
As a Store Detective with the UK’s premier high‑street retailer, you will operate across their network of stores and use your observation skills to help prevent stock theft, identify, apprehend and prosecute offenders.
Responsibilities- Observe, deter and arrest those participating in criminal activity in line with the Theft Act.
- Follow the ASCONE process.
- Work with SOC CCTV operators to identify and stop offenders.
- Liaise with police forces and other crime‑prevention partners to stay updated on local crime trends.
- Build a local network to identify and disrupt crime.
- Report incidents accurately and promptly.
- Occasionally attend court to provide evidence.
- Minimum 5 years trackable working history in the UK.
- Valid SIA front‑line licence (store detective experience desirable).
- Strong observational skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations and make quick decisions.
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal, GCSE in English or equivalent.
- Calm under pressure, quick reactiveness in challenging situations.
- Customer‑facing experience with a strong customer‑service background.
- Highly adaptable – one day at any regional store will differ.
- Proactive, forward‑thinking, self‑motivated with a can‑do attitude.
- Positive, outgoing personality seeking a team environment.
