We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to manage compliance and safety for a client. The role requires delivering the highest level of service, answering queries, reporting defects, and keeping the client informed of site activities. All work‑related documentation must be completed accurately and on time, including log of inspection reports and remedial work logged. The position also demands proficiency in Excel and Word, ability to use internal CAFM and Portal systems, and strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience within a Maintenance/Facilities Management environment and knowledge of Health & Safety, Permit to Work procedures and RAMS is essential.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Operations Team and Account Director in ensuring compliance and safety across the estate.
- Work collaboratively with the client, engineering and support teams to meet all contract requirements, KPIs and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Work with planning team to ensure remedial preventative planned maintenance tasks are completed and linked to the assets.
- Prepare all documentation required for the annual RISQ Audit.
- Take a proactive approach to customer care, resolving day-to-day issues and escalating where required.
- Maximise utilisation of CAFM system to manage service delivery, record retention and reliability of management report data.
- Use the Mitie FMR to provide the client with clear knowledge status of all assets.
- Drive continual improvement through innovation to improve quality, efficiency and process.
- Report all incidents, accidents and near misses including non‑compliant or unsafe conditions at the earliest opportunity.
- Complete regular task audits to provide safety and quality assurance.
- Carry out investigations and provide findings as required.
- Engage with the team to brief, consult and obtain feedback, addressing concerns and resolving issues.
- Ensure the team is suitably trained and competent, addressing any learning gaps.

- IOSH Managing Safely (training provided).
- Experience in people management.
- Experience in all MS applications.
- Professional liaison with client representatives and management.
- Ability to organise work and liaise with operational teams to deliver.
- Good general knowledge of health and safety, facilities services and operational practices.
- Sound understanding of company procedures and practices.
- Good time management skills.
- Carrying out site inductions to any third parties attending to carry out works on our behalf.
