We're looking for an Electrical Supervisor to join our team at Alder Hey Hospital, leading the delivery of electrical maintenance in a complex healthcare estate. You'll play a key role in ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality service across planned and reactive works.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead planned and reactive electrical maintenance, ensuring compliance with contract KPIs and safety standards
  • Provide day‑to‑day leadership, technical guidance, and support to the on‑site electrical team
  • Ensure statutory and compliance tasks are completed on time and to required standards
  • Manage subcontractors and coordinate specialist services safely and effectively
  • Deputise for the Electrical Manager and collaborate with stakeholders across the estate

Required Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation/Maintenance + 18th Edition (BS7671) Inspection & Testing qualification (C&G 2391 or equivalent)
  • Proven supervisory experience within electrical maintenance environments

What we're looking for

  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate teams
  • Experience working in complex or critical environments (healthcare/PFI desirable)
  • Knowledge of HTM standards and compliance requirements
  • Experience managing subcontractors and CAFM systems
  • IOSH Managing Safely (or willingness to achieve)

This role may require regular entry to high‑risk or forensically clean areas of the SARC at Rainbow. As part of our commitment to supporting Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust to maintain the highest forensic standards and comply with UKAS accreditation requirements, the successful candidate will be required to provide a DNA sample to be held on the Staff Elimination Database.
