The Role
This is a genuine entry-level opportunity with no previous fire and security experience required.
Through a combination of structured training and hands-on field experience, you will develop the skills and knowledge needed to become a competent Fire & Security Maintenance Engineer.
You will work alongside experienced engineers, learning how to inspect, test, maintain and service a variety of fire and security systems across customer sites within a designated geographical area.
Our comprehensive training programme is designed to equip you with the technical expertise, practical experience and industry knowledge required to build a successful long-term career within Mitie Fire & Security.
Role Responsibilities
As an Entry Level Fire & Security Maintenance Engineer, you will
- Complete a structured training programme through Mitie's industry-leading Training Academy.
- Work alongside experienced Fire & Security Engineers to gain practical, hands-on experience.
- Learn how to service, inspect and maintain a variety of fire and security systems.
- Assist with routine preventative maintenance visits across customer sites.
- Conduct system inspections and testing to ensure compliance with relevant standards and customer requirements.
- Support engineers with fault diagnosis and rectification activities.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
- Deliver exceptional customer service during all site visits and customer interactions.
- Adhere to company Health & Safety policies and safe working practices.
- Continuously develop your technical knowledge and practical skills through ongoing training and support.
About You
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are eager to learn, develop and build a long-term career within the fire and security industry.
Previous industry experience is not required; however, experience within customer service, broadband, telecommunications, utilities, electrical services or other field-based technical environments would be advantageous.
