Responsibilities
- Deliver healthcare to detainees in custody suites, working in collaboration with the Police.
- Maintain the safety of detainees with round-time coverage in custody suites, in line with schedules agreed with the client.
- Work flexible shifts across your base custody suite and across an assigned region in Police Custody Suites and Force area.
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years post-qualification experience in a patient-facing role within a relevant clinical setting (Accident & Emergency, General Practice, Emergency Medicine, Acute Medicine, Prison Healthcare, Ambulance Service).
- RN, RGN or (RMN with dual registration) – 2 years post qualification, Band 5 minimum.
- Paramedic – 2 years post qualification.
- Driving licence.
- Right to work in the UK – Lived in UK, British Passport or ILR for 3 years, no gaps out of country more than 3 months.
- All candidates will be subject to Police Vetting.
Compensation and Working Conditions
- Salary: £41,000 per year.
- £1,000 bonus upon completion of 12 months service.
- Full-time: fixed shift working in a team rota pattern of 4 shifts on and 4 days off: 06:45-19:00 for two-day shifts followed by 2-night shifts of 18:45-07:00; rolling rota available 2 years in advance.
- Part-time or mutually agreed "Bank" contract may be available, but all employees must work full shifts; part-time employees still need to carry out some night shifts.
- Average estimated overtime: £3,500 per annum.
- NMC/HCPC Registration paid.
