Compensation Hourly Rate of Pay: £16.35

Employment Details:

  • Contract Type: Permanent
  • Type of Employment: Full Time
  • Total Weekly Contractual Hours: 42
  • Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off - 6am to 6pm
  • Location: Mitie, Genesis Way, Grimsby, North Lincolnshire, England DN37 9TU

Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent service standards for routine planned and periodic cleaning of a Mitie customer.
  • Maintain all SLA agreements and adhere to cleaning schedules.
  • Conduct high risk and low risk hygiene tasks: washing equipment, walls, floors, overheads, mopping floors, belt cleaning, using scrubbing/sweeping equipment.
  • Operate cleaning equipment and perform deep sanitation.
  • Work with chemicals, label and lock containers at all times, and ensure correct COSHH procedures.
  • Liaise closely with the Hygiene Team Leader.

Staff Management:

  • Distribute uniforms, monitor cleanliness standards and use of materials, order stocks, and provide technical training to the cleaning staff.
  • Handle issues efficiently and refer to line manager when appropriate.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous supervisory experience in cleaning or a related field.
  • Good communication skills, reliability and a professional attitude.
  • Ability to work to a schedule on own initiative.
  • Desirable: experience as a food manufacturing cleaner.
  • Must be able to dismantle equipment and machinery, handle and use chemicals subject to passing COSHH training.
  • IPAF certification desirable but not essential.
