We are seeking a dedicated professional to carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance. The successful candidate will ensure that SHE standards are maintained and will liaise with engineers and subcontractors. A proactive approach to client liaison is essential, ensuring that concerns are addressed or relayed to management as necessary. The role requires compliance with and enforcement of existing business risk management procedures for maintenance and project works. You will need to understand and complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time. Additionally, you will investigate and report in detail on infrastructure shortfalls, problems, and incidents, recommending options for remedial actions. Coordination of connections to existing plant/systems and effective use and maintenance of O&M Manuals and quality procedures are also key responsibilities. The position requires availability for scheduled and unplanned weekend working. Compliance with company and statutory regulations relating to safe systems of work, health and safety, hygiene, cleanliness, and localised fire regulation procedures is mandatory. The site is a 24-hour 365-day operation, and the expectation is that the engineering team will work to a shift rota pattern and offer out of hours call out functions.
Person Specification
- Must possess one of the following certificates: Apprenticeship or equivalent; IOSH or equivalent; C&G/BTEC Mechanical and Electrical Building Services Engineering Parts 1, 2 and 3; NVQ with multi-skilled engineering Level 3; C&G 2079 F Gas or equivalent; HVAC or gas equivalent; or C&G 2391/2 18th edition IEE regulations.
- Previous relevant experience in providing electrical maintenance services in a large, complex environment.
- Basic to intermediate IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, and experience updating records.
- Strong communication skills at all levels, both verbally and in writing, including note‑taking.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and self‑motivation.
- Substantial practical experience with a comprehensive knowledge of all building services disciplines: heating, hot water, ventilating, refrigeration, environmental, electrical power and distribution, and public health.
- Team worker with flexibility within contracted hours, a strong team player attitude, and an intuitive proactive nature.
- Detail‑oriented, commitment to maintaining high standards, and a 'can do' attitude.

- Valid and up‑to‑date passport, with no restrictions on stay in the UK.

- Continuously resided in the UK for the past 3 years; no trips overseas longer than three months.
- Not spent more than 3 months at any one time overseas during the previous 5 years.
- Position exempt from Rehabilitation of Offenders Act; applicant must be prepared to undergo Enhanced DBS check, complete employer referencing for the previous 5 years, and vetting to Counter‑Theatre Checked (CTC) if offered a role.
