Role: Head of Projects
Location: Dudley or the surrounding areas
Mitie, a leading UK facilities management company, is seeking a dynamic Head of Projects for the Russells Hall Hospital in Dudley, a key healthcare PFI contract. This role requires a forward-thinking leader with a strong construction background and excellent people skills to build relationships and inspire a team of eight, including Project Managers and a Quantity Surveyor. You’ll collaborate closely with the Account Director and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration across Mitie’s Total Facilities Management services.
Key Responsibilities
As Head of Projects, you will take charge of financial accountability for a diverse range of projects, valued from large-scale initiatives of £15 million down to smaller projects. You will ensure compliance with contractual obligations and industry standards, while proactively focusing on achieving results within budget. Your role will involve monitoring performance metrics, troubleshooting project challenges, and delivering high-quality reports and presentations that simplify complex information for stakeholders.
You will oversee the implementation of projects within the Dudley Group of Hospitals, collaborating with various internal teams to drive technical improvements and identify opportunities for cost savings. A strong focus on safety, quality, and fostering robust relationships is essential to your success.
