This is a critical leadership role, acting as deputy to the Account Director, where you will take ownership of operational performance, strengthen senior client relationships, and drive meaningful improvement across a complex, multi‑site IFM contract. This is not a maintenance role — it's an opportunity for a proven leader to step into a visible, high‑impact environment and make a difference.

The Role

  • You will lead the delivery of integrated facilities services across multiple sites, ensuring safe, compliant, and high‑performing operations across both hard and soft service lines.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading national IFM delivery across hard services (M&E, fabric) and soft services (cleaning, catering, workplace services, front‑of‑house)
  • Driving consistent performance against KPIs, SLAs, and contractual obligations
  • Leading, developing, and inspiring a team of senior operational leaders
  • Strengthening client confidence and stakeholder relationships at a senior level
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and service innovation
  • Supporting the delivery of the Account Plan and wider strategic objectives
  • Ensuring full compliance across HSE, statutory, and contractual requirements
  • Leading performance reviews, reporting, and operational governance

What We're Looking For

Experience

  • Senior‑level experience in Integrated Facilities Management (IFM)
  • Proven track record delivering multi‑site, national portfolios
  • Strong experience across both hard and soft FM services
  • Experience managing subcontractors, suppliers, and complex delivery models

Leadership

  • Experience leading senior managers within multi‑layered teams
  • Track record of transformation, stabilisation, or culture change
  • Ability to operate as a trusted number two with progression to Account Director

Client Engagement

  • Highly credible, confident, and visible with senior stakeholders
  • Strong relationship builder with the ability to influence and rebuild trust
  • Commercially aware and solutions‑focused

Technical & Operational

  • Strong understanding of compliance, H&S, and statutory FM requirements
  • Commercially astute, with experience in budgets, reporting, and performance management
