We’re looking for a Head of Commercial to lead our Utilities portfolio within our Critical Environments business—ensuring commercial excellence across contracts that underpin essential infrastructure. Responsibilities
- Strategic Commercial Leadership
- Identify and drive commercial value and margin improvement across critical utilities contracts
- Provide expert guidance to Account Directors and Managers across the full contract lifecycle
- Support bid activity and contract retention, ensuring robust commercial outcomes
- Contract & Performance Management
- Oversee key commercial processes including contract variations, notices, and compliance tracking
- Ensure price adjustments, indexation, and contractual entitlements are applied accurately and on time
- Maintain strong governance over contract documentation and data integrity
- Operational & Financial Impact
- Support mobilisation and re‑mobilisation of complex, high-risk environments
- Lead commercial input into contract reviews, performance improvement, and re‑pricing strategies
- Work closely with operational teams to resolve disputes and manage claims effectively
- Insight, Risk & Reporting
- Deliver clear and structured reporting on commercial risks and opportunities to senior leadership
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risk and maximise value in a regulated environment
- Collaboration & Leadership
- Build strong relationships with clients operating in critical infrastructure environments

Qualifications & Experience
- Proven commercial leadership within the FM sector, ideally in utilities or critical environments
- Demonstrable track record of protecting margin and improving profitability in complex contracts
- Strong understanding of contract models, commercial structures, and risk allocation
- In‑depth knowledge of payment mechanisms, SLAs, KPIs, and performance risk mitigation
- Experience managing claims, disputes, and contractual negotiations
