Overview
Part-time Saturday security position focused on protecting customers' property, people and assets.
Tasks are performed in direct accordance with published Assignment Instructions (AIs) and any updates, with the aim of meeting or exceeding key performance indicators and service level agreements, while maintaining accountability and contributing to contract retention.
Ongoing self-development and training are required.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all policies, legal and regulatory requirements as directed by the Security Account Manager and in accordance with UK law and guidance bodies.
- Fully and satisfactorily complete all tasks and duties on site as defined within the published Assignment Instructions (AIs).
- Review and familiarise yourself with changes in the Assignment Instructions, and suggest amendments to improve service levels where appropriate.
- Obtain and wear the required front-line security licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervision) at all times while on duty; the Customer also requires a CCTV PSS SIA Licence.
Complete any additional contractually required courses.
- Comply with legal obligations and safety requirements of the role; follow instructions and procedures, and work in a systematic, methodical, and orderly way.
- Training and Professional Development
Complete all required competency training within the 12-week probationary period.
Undertake additional training as directed by the Security Account Manager and use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop professional knowledge.
Ensure licences are renewed 16 weeks before expiry.
- Health & Safety
- Identify and report health and safety hazards on site; stay alert to threats or changes in the work environment and take appropriate action to reduce disruption, loss or damage.
- Maintain professional conduct in difficult situations and with challenging customers.
- Complete accurate notebook entries promptly after any incident to support incident reporting.
- Keep to schedules and ensure check calls are carried out at the allocated time slots as specified in the Assignment Instructions (AIs).
- Know when to contact emergency services and the Communication Centre to report all incidents.
- What we are looking for
- Previous security experience.
- SIA Licence (required). Door Supervisor qualification preferred.
- SC Clearance desirable.
