We are looking for an experienced Multi Skilled Engineer with a HVAC bias, to provide and maintain a high level of building maintenance support to our clients. You will be part of a team of multi‑skilled technical support staff that ensure that the service provided meets the contractual requirements and complies with all relevant regulations and laws.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and maintain a high level of building maintenance support to clients.
  • Ensure the service meets contractual requirements and complies with all relevant regulations and laws.
  • Assist in supervising contractors and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with all statutory obligations.
  • Maintain a flexible approach to work and working hours (subject to the EU Working Time Directive).
  • Prioritise own workload while assisting other engineers and staff with duties.
  • Be aware of the business continuity plan for the part of the business you work in.
  • Undertake all facets of maintenance and installation requirements as required in the scope of the contract.
  • Ensure day‑to‑day planned preventive maintenance activities are completed in line with contractual obligations.
  • Maintain all assets in accordance with the O&M Manuals, alongside compliance with all Health & Safety Legislation and Company Policy (fire regulations, COSHH, safe working practices, PPE, PAT testing, etc.).
  • Ensure all building fabric elements are functional and operational within design parameters, carrying out reactive repairs within agreed response and rectification times.
  • Ensure all reactive calls are closed out in line with contractual time scales.
  • Anticipate, diagnose and repair faults, recording accurately on worksheets and through the computer‑based system.
  • Complete any ad hoc duties assigned.
  • Ensure equipment and plant/rooms/services are kept clean, safe, and secure.

Qualifications

  • Time‑served apprenticeship or equivalent NVQ qualification in Carpentry and/or Joinery.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in HVAC systems.
  • Commitment to the delivery of excellent customer service.
  • Good understanding of current Health & Safety legislation and building statutory compliance.
  • Able to carry tools and equipment by hand of up to 20kg.
  • Able to ascend/descend vertical access equipment and work at heights.
  • Available to join a call‑out rota.
  • Hold a full UK driving license.
