Marlowe Kitchen Fire Suppression is a leading provider of kitchen fire suppression systems. We specialize in the design, installation, and maintenance of systems for various establishments including hotels, restaurants, schools, hospitals, and fast-food outlets.

As a Trainee Kitchensafe Engineer, you will be trained to install, maintain, and service Kitchensafe fire safety systems for our clients across the UK. This is an entry-level opportunity with full training provided, ideal for someone looking to start a long-term career in fire safety engineering. You will work alongside experienced engineers and gradually build the skills and confidence needed to carry out work independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the installation, servicing, and maintenance of Kitchensafe systems under supervision
  • Learn how to carry out basic fault finding and diagnostics, with full training and support
  • Support engineers during site visits and installations
  • Participate in a 1-in-4 call-out rota, ensuring prompt and reliable service
  • Communicate professionally with on-site teams, concierges, and building management
  • Accurately record work completed using a PDA system (training provided)
  • Travel to sites across the UK with support and planning from the team
  • Be flexible to stay away from home occasionally, with accommodation and expenses covered
Who we're looking for
  • Background in a maintenance, facilities, construction, electrical, mechanical, or engineering environment, with experience using tools and attending site visits
  • Comfortable working in live environments and following site rules, permits, and safety procedures
  • Basic knowledge of electrical or mechanical systems is advantageous but not essential — full training will be provided
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail when assisting with installations, servicing, and inspections
  • Takes pride in completing work to a high standard and following procedures correctly
  • Brings a positive attitude, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn a new technical skillset
  • Works in a structured and methodical manner, able to follow instructions and technical guidance
  • Capable of managing workload effectively, including travelling between sites and meeting scheduled deadlines

  • Able to work both independently (once trained) and as part of a supportive engineering team
