Job Overview
To carry out a multi-discipline role within competencies (mainly B&CE tasks).
Main Duties
- Provide support to the B&CE section with regards to all building and civil works.
- Install flashings, soffits and fascias to all types of roof.
- Carry out building and concreting works within your capabilities including ground works, new build and general construction including manholes and drainage runs.
- To carry maintenance tasks internal and external to buildings, and others.
- To cover reactive, remedial, PPM tasks and project work.
- To carry out/support first and second fix during project work.
- To carry out/support erection and dismantling of formwork.
- To install steel reinforcement as per design or instructed by the person in charge.
- To carry out floor and wall tiling, bricklaying, rendering, plastering and screeding as instructed by the person in charge.
- Oversee less skilled operatives to aid in the installation of new roofs and the maintenance of existing.
- Request any stores or materials required for the job.
- Complete risk assessments and method statements for each task ensuring every job is done safely.
- Dispose of all waste materials in accordance with local regulatory authority requirements.
- To provide assistance in all other areas of the contract, where deemed competent.
- Participate in ongoing training to maintain business requirements.
- Ensure that all equipment in his use is tested and within date.
- Carry out any other request within your competences.
- Comply with H&S requirements.
- Ad Hoc duties as required, this job description is not mutually exclusive.
- Attend meetings and provide technical input as required.
- If required must be willing and available to attend training abroad.
- Use and care for company vehicles in accordance with vehicle policy.
- Become part of an on call roster if required by the business.
