Role Responsibilities
- Deliver planned and reactive maintenance, when requested, across prison fabric and building services assets.
- Complete PPM and helpdesk tasks in line with contract requirements and SHE standards.
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety, permit‑to‑work, statutory, and site‑specific regulations.
- Liaise with engineers and subcontractors, maintaining a strong understanding of site systems and services.
- Accurately complete all maintenance documentation and support 24/7 site operations via shift rota and call‑out.
Required Qualifications
- A recognised Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in painting or building services or multi‑skilled maintenance (e.g. NVQ Level 3, C&G/BTEC, HVAC, Gas, F‑Gas, 18th Edition).
- Proven experience providing painting & decorating and/or general maintenance services within a large, complex environment.
- Practical knowledge across building services disciplines including heating, ventilation, electrical distribution, and public health systems.
- Basic to intermediate IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- A proactive, flexible team player with strong communication skills, high integrity, and a “can‑do” attitude.

- Continuous UK residency for the past 3 years, with limited overseas travel.
