Alarm Communications Limited are a leading team of fire protection, commercial security and building management systems specialists, with our Head Office in Surrey. We operate predominantly with prestigious buildings and landmarks in and around Greater London. We are appointing a highly experienced Fire Service Engineer with expertise in Fire Alarms, Extinguishers, Fire Training, Risk Assessment and Fire Stopping, covering in/around the M25. The Fire Service Engineer reports to the Contract Manager and liaises with the Senior Engineer, Service Coordinators and Customer Service Manager. The role is part of a small, dedicated key account support team and involves collaborating with fellow Engineers and Trainee Engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the established team in the area and manage a selection of key accounts reporting from the London Fields office.
  • Service systems that vary by site, including Advanced, Notifier, Morley and Gent; training is provided where required.
  • Occasionally operate in two-person teams for larger or more complex sites to ensure efficient and safe completion of work.
  • Mentor and develop Trainee Engineers within the team.
  • Deliver professional workmanship on long-standing prestigious contracts with direct end-user relationships.
  • Receive time, support and resources to install and maintain systems to high standards, with extensive training to achieve expert status with our primary systems.

What We're Looking For / Requirements

  • Extensive experience with a range of products and manufacturers, with at least 2 years' experience as a Fire Alarm Engineer.
  • Desire to install and maintain systems to the highest standards.
  • Electrically competent; able to perform safe isolations and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Experience with installing, commissioning and maintaining systems.
  • Customer-oriented with the ability to adapt and respond to clients in different situations.
  • Good attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and manage time effectively.
  • A passion to continue learning and developing skills.
  • This role suits someone who enjoys a varied range of activities, including maintenance, reactive works and small projects.
