The predicted salary is between 20000 - 25000 £ per year.

The role will require that you can work as part of a Team of Hosts who are responsible for maintaining all of the External areas, mainly concentrating on service yards and external welcome halls to the high standards expected. Close co-operation with others is essential when working within the Department as is the capacity to work responsibly as an individual to complete given tasks. Your daily and weekly tasks are assigned to ensure that the Department meets its scheduled requirements and Client expectations. You will be the visible face of Bluewater thus you are expected to provide all our Guests with the very best level of service ensuring an enjoyable and memorable visit to Bluewater. Must hold a valid driving licence.

Main Duties

  • Maintain a friendly, helpful, courteous and professional manner with all guests, clients, and management at all times.
  • Deliver and maintain a high standard of grounds / car park care and cleaning services.
  • Manage traffic within the car park / external areas during busy periods.
  • Assist in the removal of pallets, cages and other removable items from site.
  • Clean, replenish and monitor the external areas of the centre as assigned by a Team Leader.
  • Periodically deep clean areas of the external areas of the centre as assigned by a Team Leader.
  • Programme excess charges and ensure that these are accurately logged and accountable for audit purposes.
  • Attend to reactive jobs logged in the helpdesk, and communicated to you via radio devices or PDAs.
  • Participate in ensuring that the centre is a safe and non-threatening environment for all guests.
  • Provide a polite, effective and consistent service to all guests across the entire range of services provided at the centre.
  • Communicate relevant information to guests on a regular basis.
  • Comply with health and safety at work requirements, Fire Regulations, COSHH Regulations and safe working practices.
  • Assist in ensuring that Health & Safety is not compromised at any time by reporting accidents, near misses, unsafe working environment(s) or unsafe behaviour to your team leader / Manager / or control.
  • Participate in complying with Environmental Procedures and Sustainability, and Biodiversity.
  • Comply with the centre Emergency Procedures.

  • Relevant Job experience, preferably in an External retail environment.
  • Good working knowledge of Traffic management.
  • Health and safety training and understanding of the principles.
  • Ability to follow processes and work with own initiative for periods of time.
  • Empathy to Guests.
  • Excellent communicator.
  • Good team worker.
  • Strong customer service ethic.
  • Flexibility in working approach.
  • Sound interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
  • Good command of English Language.
  • Must have a valid UK Driving License.
