ROLE: Engineering Supervisor
HOURS: Full Time

We're looking for an Engineering Supervisor to oversee and coordinate Hard Services operations across multiple GPA buildings, ensuring statutory compliance, safe systems of work, and the successful delivery of maintenance activities in line with contractual requirements.

Role Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support engineering teams across multiple sites, ensuring the effective delivery of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities.
  • Monitor compliance with statutory legislation, health and safety requirements, company procedures, and safe systems of work.
  • Carry out regular site inspections, audits, quality checks, and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
  • Manage specialist subcontractors, investigate technical issues, resolve service failures, and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Support mobilisation projects, lifecycle replacement works, operational reporting, budget management, and continuous service improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.

  • Recognised apprenticeship in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering, with a City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, BTEC Level 3, or equivalent qualification.
  • Demonstrable experience within building services maintenance and facilities management environments, including supervising engineering teams and specialist subcontractors.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical and building services systems, together with a sound understanding of statutory compliance, health and safety legislation, and maintenance programmes.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and maintenance documentation, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAFM systems.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

  • HNC/HND in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • IOSH Managing Safely and/or NEBOSH General Certificate.
  • Authorised Person (AP) or Competent Person (CP) qualifications in relevant disciplines.
  • Experience working within Government, Public Sector, or GPA environments.
  • Experience in mobilisation, contract transitions, lifecycle project delivery, and energy management initiatives.
