We are looking for a Relief Retail Security Officer to join our team, providing flexible security cover across Sainsbury's stores in Ely, Cambridge, Thetford and Bury St Edmunds.
As a Relief Security Officer, you'll provide cover across these locations depending on operational requirements, including covering holidays, sickness and additional shifts when required. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a flexible role with the potential to pick up additional hours and overtime across the area.
The role pays £14.51 per hour with paid breaks.
Due to the travel required between stores, applicants must have access to their own car, hold a valid driving licence and have reliable transport. Flexibility to travel between the listed locations is essential.

What You'll Be Doing
- Providing a visible, reassuring presence on the shop floor
- Delivering outstanding customer service at all times
- Deterring theft, anti-social behaviour and public order offences
- Carrying out regular store patrols
- Operating CCTV systems to reduce crime and stock loss
- Working closely with store management teams
- Supporting partnerships with Police and local crime networks
- Using Body Worn CCTV to enhance safety for everyone onsite
What You'll Need
- A valid SIA licence (or willingness to complete the training – we may be able to support you with this)
- A full 5-year checkable employment or education history (this is essential for vetting)
- A proactive, professional and customer-focused approach
