SHIFT: Day shift - 0600 - 1800, Night Shift 18:00-0600

Week 1 - 4 nights, 3 off

Week 2 - 3 days 1 off, 3 nights

Week 3 - 3 off, 4 days

Week 4 - 7 off

LOCATION: Ellesmere Port

At Mitie, our people are our greatest strength, and our promise is to create a place to work where you can thrive and be your best every day. We're looking for a Shift Electrical Engineer with HV experience to support the smooth, safe and continuous running of our fast‑paced plant.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance and complete associated reports.
  • Conduct fault‑finding, planned maintenance and reactive repairs for electrical plant.
  • Support team members as directed by the Supervisor or Contract Manager.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed within contractual time scales.
  • Complete electrical installations and system upgrades on site.
  • Supervise visiting sub‑contractors, ensuring safe and high‑quality work.
  • Adopt a flexible approach to support other properties within the portfolio.
  • Complete all documentation accurately and on time.
  • Work safely and diligently, following company policies and procedures.
  • Participate fully in training, appraisals and development activities.
  • Undertake training in mechanical maintenance and assist the mechanical team when required.
Required Qualifications:
  • Recognised electrical qualification, apprenticeship, or time‑served experience.
  • IEE 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (highly advantageous but not essential).
  • Experience in HV switching (highly advantageous but not essential).
  • Experience working with power supplies, lighting, meters, circuit boards and pumps.
  • Ability to anticipate, diagnose and repair faults.
  • Capable of completing essential paperwork accurately and promptly.
