Role: Shift Electrical Engineer
Hours: 42 hours (12 hours shift pattern: 4 days On, 4 days Off, 4 nights On, 4 nights Off)
Location: Coventry, CV2 2DX

We're looking for a Shift Heating Ventilation Engineer who will play a key role in delivering maintenance services across the healthcare estate.

Role Responsibilities

  • Interpret and make judgements across a wide range of issues, understanding the complexity of pre‑planned maintenance, reactive maintenance, unplanned events and emergencies while working in a controlled manner.
  • Diagnose and repair faults in engineering, electrical and/or plumbing installations, plant and equipment, adapting to new situations as they arise and sharing knowledge with others..
  • Delivering high standards of workmanship across complex systems and understanding the relationship between mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Actively monitor the CAFM system to ensure all tasks are assigned within appropriate timescales and issues are resolved proactively.
  • Observe statutory requirements including health and safety, Electricity at Work Regulations, asbestos, legionella and COSHH regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience diagnosing and repairing faults across engineering, electrical and/or plumbing systems.
  • NVQ level 3 in Electrical engineering or equivariant
    IOSH Working safely
  • Completion of a structured training programme in Electrical Engineering for a minimum of 3 years.
