We're looking for a Facilities Co-Ordinator who will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of all hard and soft facilities services within a large, complex building. The role requires a technically competent, operationally focused, customer facing leader who can ensure statutory compliance, service excellence, cost control, and continuous improvement while maintaining a safe, efficient, and high-quality working environment. This role combines technical understanding, service delivery leadership, and stakeholder management, acting as the senior point of contact for facilities operations.
Role Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee Hard FM Services Team delivery, including Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems, HVAC, power, lighting, fire systems, lifts, and building fabric, Cooling Tower Management.
- Lead and oversee Soft FM Services Team delivery, including Cleaning, Waste management, Internal & External Planting maintenance.
- Provide day-to-day leadership to facilities teams and suppliers, fostering a high-performance, safety-focused culture.
- Ensure full compliance with statutory, regulatory, and H&S requirements (e.g. H&S legislation, fire safety, water hygiene, electrical safety).
- Manage outsourced service providers and specialist contractors.
- Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, senior leadership, and occupiers.
Required Qualifications:
- Significant experience in a Facilities Management role managing both hard and soft services.
- Technical background with in-depth knowledge of building services and compliance requirements.
- Proven operational leadership experience in a complex, multi-location environment.
- Strong understanding of FM contracts, SLAs, KPIs, and supplier management.
- IOSH.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong financial and budget management capability.
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
